Golfingia vulgaris : Saiz Salinas 1989: 208, figs 1 a–c. Golfingia ( Golfingia ) vulgaris vulgaris : Stephen & Edmonds 1972: 110 –111, figs 11 a–e. Material examined: ESFM – SIP / 98 – 29, K 3, Karpas Cape, 18 July 1998, 10 m, on Posidonia oceanica , 1 specimen. Remarks: Body cylindrical; skin smooth, translucent. Caudal end pointed. Trunk 4.8 mm long, 1 mm wide. Introvert 4.2 mm long, 0.6 mm wide, shorter than trunk. Trunk 1.14 times introvert length. Both ends of trunk with dark brown papillae. Papillae on base of introvert 29–40 µm height, 20–23 µm in diameter. Papillae on caudal end of trunk 28–38 µm in length, 18–20 µm in diameter. Introvert with scattered hooks; 45–65 µm in height. Intestinal spiral with 15 coils, attached to rectum. Rectal caecum hidden under intestine coils. Two eye spots present; reddish black in colour. Tentacles numerous. Four retractor muscles. Nephridia pearshaped; 0.55 mm height (trunk 8.7 times nephridia length), 0.2 mm wide. Skin surface covered by pear, fingershaped papillae. The midtrunk with small, spare papillae; 9–12 µm in diameter. Distribution: Common in shallow waters from the northeast Atlantic Ocean, northwest Pacific Ocean, Indian Ocean, and Mediterranean Sea (Saiz Salinas 1993 a).
