Cubiceps capensis (Smith, 1845). Cape Cigarfish or Cape Fathead. To 100 cm (39.3 in) TL (Agafonova 1994). Circumglobal (Haedrich in Carpenter and De Angelis 2016); one specimen taken 145 km (90 mi) west-southwest of Morro Bay, central California (35°08’N, 122°24’W) (McCosker et al. 2004).
