Musca comito Harris, 1780: 117.? HOLOTYPE: ♀, Great Britain, SE England (depository unknown). Unavailable name; synonymized by PONT & MICHELSEN (1982: 31). Note. The figure in the original publication shows a female from England. The name comito is a verb and thus not available according to ICZN (ICZN 1999; Article 11.9). Harris’ collection is generally considered to have been destroyed (PONT & MICHELSEN 1982: 26). Scatomyza maculipes Zetterstedt, 1846: 1964.
