Description
Summary:Data from two climate model ensemble experiments ran by Kristian Strommen as part of Oxford's contribution to the Horizon 2020 Project "PRIMAVERA". Each ensemble consists of 3 simulations covering 1950-2015 with historical forcing, following the hist-1950 protocol of PRIMAVERA. The model used is the PRIMAVERA configuration of the coupled EC-Earth3 model, EC-Earth3P. One ensemble uses the default EC-Earth3P set-up (experiment id's dtc1, dtc2 and dtc3), while the other is run with an additional suite of stochastic schemes in the sea ice and ocean components of the model (experiment id's otc1, otc2 and otc3). The data here is daily sea ice concentration (siconc) and daily geopotential height at 500hPa (zg500), regridded onto a regular 2.5 degree grid. This data forms the basis of work done on Arctic-midlatitude teleconnections by Kristian Strommen and Stephan Juricke (2021). : Please contact K. Strommen in the event that you use this data for your research.
