Gallinula angulata (VAG): occurs in Senegal and Gambia east to Ethiopia and south to northern and eastern Namibia, Botswana and northeastern South Africa (Taylor, 1996). In Brazil, there is only one record of an immature individual collected in the Saint Peter and Saint Paul Archipelago.
