Summary: | Non indigenous Branchiomma species At least seven species of Branchiomma have been reported to date, including six in a recent list of alien polychaetes by Çinar (2013) and one more species in this study: B. coheni . Table 2 summarizes the list of all the valid species of this genus with their updated status and distribution. However, we suggest further information is desirable to confirm the status of some species, as reviewed and outlined below in alphabetical order, providing an update of available information as well as directions for future studies. In addition, we provide recommendations to accurately identify them when focusing in early detection and NIS monitoring programs. Branchiomma cingulatum (Grube, 1870) Dasychone japonica Pacific McIntosh, 1885; Dasychone maculata Fischli, 1903; Dasychonopsis pallidus Bush, 1905; Sabella havaica Kinberg, 1866 Branchiomma cingulata pererai Silva, IndianOcean 1965 Branchiomma coheni Tovar-Hernández & NIS Pacific Gulf of Mexico Knight-Jones, 2006 Branchiomma inconspicua (M.
