Lc I with unidentate accessory process. Idiosoma length 238–415 in female. Remarks. This species is similar to S. punctatus and S. ornatus in the number of Bp setae on Tf I–IV 3-2-0-0. However, S. insularis is separated from the latter two species in the lack of ornamentation of plates and gnathosoma, larger body size, and 3 pairs of Pgs in female. Female is known. Habitat. Littoral zone: Coarse sands on tidal line at 10–37 cm sediment depth. Distribution. South Pacific Ocean: Bylund Cay (Great Barrier Reef) [Australia]. South Atlantic Ocean: São Francisco [Brazil].
