Summary: | Trianguloscalpellum album (Hoek, 1883) Fig. 25 Scalpellum album Hoek, 1883: 85, pl. III, figs 20–21. Scalpellum weltnerianum Pilsbry, 1911: 64, pl. IX, figs 5–7. Trianguloscalpellum weltnerianum : Zevina, 1981a: 306, fig. 230; Chan et al. , 2009: 122–123, figs 103a–c, 104a–d. Trianguloscalpellum album : Zevina, 1981a: 308–309. Material examined. Holotype NHM UK 2013.1114 and paratype NHM UK 2013.1115, Stn 214: Pacific, Western Central (off Meangis Island, Malay Archipelago); 914 m. Supplementary description. Chan et al. (2009), as T. weltnerianum . Distribution. Pacific, Western Central: Malay Archipelago, Japanese and Taiwanese waters. Known depth range 656 to 914 m. Habitat. On Crinoidea. Remarks. Pilsbry (1911) pointed out that T. album is morphologically similar to T. weltnerianum and noted that the difference between the two species is mainly that the plates of T. album are smooth. However, Hoek (1883) commented on the "beautiful striation" of the T. album plates under the microscope. Our observations of the holotype confirmed Hoek’s (1883) comment, therefore T. weltnerianum is here considered to be a junior subjective synonym of T. album . : Published as part of Shalaeva, Kate & Boxshall, Geoff, 2014, An illustrated catalogue of the scalpellid barnacles (Crustacea: Cirripedia: Scalpellidae) collected during the HMS " Challenger " expedition and deposited in the Natural History Museum, London, pp. 1-63 in Zootaxa 3804 (1) on page 38, DOI: 10.11646/zootaxa.3804.1.1, http://zenodo.org/record/4917932 : {"references": ["Hoek, P.
