In the eastern Pacific from the west coast of Baja California to the Galapagos Islands (García Madrigal 2007). Remarks . According to Siegel-Causey (1982: 177, fig. 69), L. bengalensis is strongly epipelagic but features a very wide overall depth distribution, ranging from surface to depths> 2200 m. Reported in surface waters by Vinogradov et al . (1996). García Madrigal (2007) reported a 0‒3220 m depth distributional range. It was one of the two most abundant species in this survey. : Published as part of Gasca, Rebeca & Hendrickx, Michel E., 2021, Pelagic amphipods (Crustacea: Amphipoda: Hyperiidea) in western Mexico. 3 Family Lestrigonidae, pp. 169-187 in Zootaxa 4974 (1) on pages 175-176, DOI: 10.11646/zootaxa.4974.1.8, http://zenodo.org/record/4772335 : {"references": ["Giles, G.
