Diagnosis. Seta ro free (fused in Hulicheremaeus ). Sensillus large, with widened head. Dorsosejugal suture extending beyond interlamellar region. Notogaster areolate with 12–14 pairs of setae. Presence of 1–4 small area porosae, 5 pairs of genital setae, 2 pairs of anal setae and 2 pairs of adanal setae. Aggenital setae absent. Legs tridactylous. Ecology. They are found to inhabit litter, soil, moss, lichens and epiphytes. Distribution (Fig. 13). Nearctic, Neotropical, Palaearctic, Afrotropical & Oriental regions. Hulicheremaeus is endemic to the Neotropical region (not shown in Fig. 13), but the nominal genus shows a wide distribution range except Antarctica. Nine species have been reported from the Neotropical region, of which five species were confined to this realm only. The Australian region shows only a single representation, whereas six species have been recorded from Oriental (including the new species) and Palaearctic regions. : Published as part of Arun, A. & Ramani, N., 2020, Two remarkable new species of oribatid mites (Acari: Oribatida) from Acacia litter of Kerala, India, pp. 539-558 in Zootaxa 4877 (3) on page 549, DOI: 10.11646/zootaxa.4877.3.7, http://zenodo.org/record/4570503 : {"references": ["Paoli, G.
