Collection of Environmental Variables and Bacteria Community Compositions in Marian Cove, Antarctica, during Summer 2018

Marine bacteria are known as key drivers for marine biogeochemical cycles. Our study area, Marian Cove is experiencing rapid environmental changes like melting of glaciers and higher inflow of freshwater in Antarctica. However, very little is known about the changes about spatial distribution of bac...

However, very little is known about the changes about spatial distribution of bacterial communities in marine environment. The supplementary data set is comprised of environmental variables (Supplementary Table S1) and bacterial community composition data (Supplementary Table S2) at three different layers (i.e., seawater surface, middle, and bottom layers) at all 15 different stations during summer of 2018. Of all the bacterial data, 17 different phylum level bacteria were found. The data set will help to understand the relationship between environment variables and bacterial community composition in rapidly changin region, Antarctica.
