? Filellum antarcticum (Hartlaub, 1904) Synonyms in the area: Lafoea antarctica —Ritchie 1907a; Reticularia antarctica Totton, 1930 [polyp];? Filellum sp. Vervoort, 1972 [polyp]. Remarks: examination of the reproductive structures is very important for determination of Filellum species. All reports of this species described colonies without coppinia and, consequently, the records have to be confirmed based on fertile material (see Marques et al. 2011 for further details). Distribution in South America: polyp—Pacific Ocean, Chile, at 41.77°S in Chacao Strait (Leloup 1974 p. 8). Atlantic Ocean, Argentina, from 40°S to 55°S (Ritchie 1907a; Totton 1930; Vervoort 1972; Blanco 1984b; El Beshbeeshy 1991, 2011; Blanco 1994a; Blanco et al. 1994; Genzano 1995; Genzano & Zamponi 1997, 2003; Genzano et al. 2009a). Habitat: polyp—up to 775m depth (Totton 1930; Vervoort 1972; Leloup 1974 p. 8; Blanco 1984b; El Beshbeeshy 1991, 2011; Blanco 1994a; Blanco et al. 1994; Genzano 1995; Genzano et al. 2009a). : Published as part of M.
