Trombicula vanderghinstei Gunther, 1940 was synonymized with T. deliensis by Womersley & Heaslip (1943), followed by Fuller (1952), but was restored later (Vercammen-Grandjean & Langston 1976). 2. Leptotrombidium vanderghinstei australe Vercammen-Grandjean and Langston, 1976 was synonymized with L. deliense by Domrow & Lester (1985), but I restored it as a full species (Stekolnikov 2013). 3. Trombicula walchi is an incompletely described species of dubious identity. The type deposition is unclear from the original description (probably, IMR or SAM).
