Distribution: Phialella chilensis has originally been described from Calbuco, Chile (Vervoort 1972). The species has been reported in southwestern Atlantic from 34°S to 55°S by Jäderholm (1905) and Ritchie (1909) as Campanulina chilensis and by Blanco et al . (2000).
