Remarks. Previous records on the coast of São Paulo state include Ilhabela (Ilha de São Sebastião) (Rathbun 1918), Ubatuba (Negreiros-Fransozo et al. 2002). This is a mangrove species with commercial importance; recently it was included in the “List of Overexploited or Threatened Species of Overexploitation” (Pinheiro & Boos 2016).
