Remarks. Previous records on the coast of São Paulo state include Ilhabela (Ilha de São Sebastião) (Rathbun 1937), Santos (Melo & Campos Jr. 1999) and Ubatuba (Bertini et al. 2004, 2010; Melo & Campos Jr. 1999; Alves et al. 2012a, b). Garcia Bento et al. (2018, 2019) described the spermatozoa ultrastructure and the male reproductive system in a phylogenetic context based on specimens collected near Ilha das Palmas (14m), Ubatuba, São Paulo. Dromia gouveai described by Melo & Campos Jr. (1999) from Santos, was considered junior synonym of D. erytropus (WoRMS 2020).
