The lack of post-ventral alae on the carapace indicates that it is not the widespread Limnocythere stationis (Vávra, 1891), which has previously been reported from Korea (Lee et al. 2000). It is also sufficiently different from other species of the group to suggest that it is an undescribed species, but as no males were recovered, it is not described herein. On Jeju Island it was found at two localities (25 and 26), in a marsh and an irrigation pond.
