Summary:Proctolaelaps novus (Lombardini , 1960) new combination Cosmolaelaps ? novus Lombardini, 1960: 256. Cosmolaelaps ? novus.— Moreira et al., 2014: 322 TYPE DEPOSITORY: not stated. TYPE LOCALITY AND HABITAT: Buenos Aires, Argentina, in nest of Acromyrmex lundi (Insecta: Formicidae). NOTE: we have provisionally placed this species in Proctolaelaps on the basis of the shape of the anal shield with enlarged anus, and the form of the spermatodactyl and epistome. Lombardini (1960: 256) described and illustrated five setae on the anal shield of this species.
