Probing Non-Standard Interaction (NSI) with ANTARES and KM3NeT neutrino telescopes

The KM3NeT-ORCA and its predecessor ANTARES are neutrino telescopes operating in the Mediterranean sea. While KM3NeT-ORCA is under construction, ANTARES has accumulated more than 10 years of data. ANTARES has successfully demonstrated detector technologies and analysis techniques for undersea neutri...

While KM3NeT-ORCA is under construction, ANTARES has accumulated more than 10 years of data. ANTARES has successfully demonstrated detector technologies and analysis techniques for undersea neutrino detection ranging from energies of 20 GeV to tens of TeV. ORCA is specifically designed for making measurements of neutrino properties such as their mass ordering and oscillation parameters, whereas ANTARES was designed to detect very high energy neutrinos of astrophysical origin. In this contribution, we show sensitivity studies to Non-Standard Neutrino Interaction (NSI) parameters with the atmospheric neutrino flux. The NSI analysis with the ANTARES data is under progress. It is shown that both ORCA and ANTARES can place stringent bounds on Neutral Current NSI parameters. Still Image Orca DataCite Metadata Store (German National Library of Science and Technology)
