Platypsyllus castoris Ritsema, 1869 NEWFOUNDLAND : Pasadena, 15.X.1989, M. Bennett, beaver carcass, (4, MUN); Bay Bulls, IX‒XI.1999, D. Puddister, (1, MUN). This Holarctic species is listed as occurring in Newfoundland by Peck (1991) (Fig. 12).
