Dendrophagus cygnaei is newly recorded in New Brunswick and Nova Scotia (Fig. 2). It was recorded from Newfoundland by Bousquet (1991). Species of Brontini are found primarily under bark where both adults and larvae probably feed on ascomycete and other fungi (Th omas 1993, 2002a).
