Webster, mixed forest in small sedge marsh in small pools among sedges (2, RWC). Haliplus longulus is newly recorded from New Brunswick (Fig. 3). It was previously reported from Nova Scotia by Matheson (1912) (although Roughley (1991) failed to note this record) and from Prince Edward Island by Vondel (2005) and Majka (2008).
