Dataset abstract A Vaisala MAWS240 meteorological station was installed on the R/V Akademik Tryoshnikov during a circumnavigation of Antarctica in the austral summer season of 2016/2017. This dataset contains the raw wind parameter data that have been extracted from the original raw text data files. True and relative wind speed and direction parameters were recorded with a resolution of three seconds. Datetime should be combined with TIMEDIFF to convert it to UTC. Data from this dataset have been corrected and quality-checked in another published dataset. We recommend these data for further use (Landwehr et al., 2019; DOI 10.5281/zenodo.3379590).
