description Arctiinae, Arctiini, Arctiina Antarctia palustris Jörgensen, 1935: 105 ( Fig. 1) Current identity. Paracles palustris ( Jörgensen, 1935) Type Material. Undisclosed number of syntypes. Type locality and label information. Male type specimen with the following labels: "18"; "#32712" (old catalogue number); [ Paraguay, Occidental region: Asunción, Trinidad and Villarica] (information of localities from original description only); " Antarctia palustris Jorg [ensen]. Mus[eo]. Nac[ional]. Hist[oria]. Natural Buenos Aires"; " Typus "; " ♂ "; "MACN-En 32220" (new catalogue number of Aurora). MACN. The only specimen found has lost its antennae and the base of hind wings are damaged, also the hindlegs look broken but otherwise it is in good condition. Remarks. Jörgensen (1935) described the male and female but did not designate holotype nor catalogue number, as he did for type specimens of other species. The male specimen deposited at MACN matches with the black and white photography present in the original description, despite the old catalogue number was not here included ( Jörgensen 1935). We hereby formally designate the male specimen as lectotype with a red label and the inscription " Lectotype ♂ Antarctia palustris Jörgensen designated by Beccacece & Rodríguez-Ramírez". The habitus of this species is similar to Paracles azollae Berg, 1877. Virbia schadei Jörgensen, 1935: 103 ( Fig. 2) Current identity. Virbia schadei Jörgensen, 1935 Type Material. Female holotype and male "alotype" ( paratype). Type locality and label information. Female holotype with the following labels: "16"; "#32710" (old catalogue number); [ Paraguay, Dpto. Guairá, Villarrica] (information of localities from original description only); " ♀ "; "Typus"; " Virbia schadei Jorg [ensen]. ♀ Mus[eo]. Nac[ional]. Hist[oria]. Natural Buenos Aires"; " HOLOTYPUS "; "MACN-En 32203" (new catalogue number of Aurora). Male paratype with the following labels: "#32709" (old catalogue number); [ Paraguay, Dpto. Guairá, Villarrica] (information of localities from original description only); "Typus"; " Virbia schadei Jorg [ensen]. ♂ Mus[eo]. Nac[ional]. Hist[oria]. Natural Buenos Aires"; " PARATYPUS "; "MACN-En 32202" (new catalogue number of Aurora). MACN. The holotype and the male paratype match with the black and white photography. The female holotype is in moderate condition, the apex of the right forewing is missing. The paratype is in bad condition because the abdomen and antennae are also missing. Remarks. Jörgensen (1935) indicated that both holotype and "alotype" (male paratype) were donated to MACN. This species is closer to Virbia divisa (Walker, 1854). : Published as part of Rodriguez-Ramirez, Joanna, Beccacece, Hernan Mario, Pinheiro, Lívia Rodrigues, Grados, Juan & Morono-Brizuela, Maria Lucila, 2020, Type material of Arctiinae (Lepidoptera: Erebidae) in the collection of the Museo Argentino de Ciencias Naturales Bernardino Rivadavia (Buenos Aires Argentina), pp. 442-466 in Zootaxa 4742 (3) on pages 446-447, DOI: 10.11646/zootaxa.4742.3.2, http://zenodo.org/record/3677955 : {"references": ["Jorgensen, P.
