The Latin name silvestris referring to forests where this species is collected most often. Remarks. The male genitalia can appear similar to species P. lustrum however, P. silvestris has less marking within the overall surface of circular structure and they are more situated in the bottom half (Fig. 18C). The epandrium also has a curve before the cerci on lateral view. Make sure to adjust the position on the anterior edge properly to see the dent. The surstylus apex is also flatter like P. rectiloba while P. lustrum is more pointed. Genitalia often tucked within the abdomen, making it harder to see all characters. Females of P. anguliloba , P.lustrum , P. nitens , P. rectiloba , P. silvestris , P. wheeleri can only be reliably identified through sequencing. : Published as part of Levesque-Beaudin, Valerie & Mlynarek, Julia J., 2020, Revision of Nearctic Paramyia Williston (Diptera: Milichiidae), pp. 1-56 in Zootaxa 4732 (1) on pages 32-35, DOI: 10.11646/zootaxa.4732.1.1, http://zenodo.org/record/3662029

1-56 in Zootaxa 4732 (1) on pages 32-35, DOI: 10.11646/zootaxa.4732.1.1, http://zenodo.org/record/3662029 Text Beaver Creek Gros Morne National Park Newfoundland James Bay DataCite Metadata Store (German National Library of Science and Technology) Newfoundland Canada British Columbia ENVELOPE(-125.003,-125.003,54.000,54.000) Dent ENVELOPE(140.050,140.050,-66.649,-66.649) Seta ENVELOPE(9.895,9.895,63.645,63.645) Griffith ENVELOPE(-155.500,-155.500,-85.883,-85.883) Bolton ENVELOPE(-62.967,-62.967,-65.017,-65.017) Gros Morne National Park ENVELOPE(-57.531,-57.531,49.613,49.613) Tremblay ENVELOPE(-120.853,-120.853,55.783,55.783) Thunder Bay ENVELOPE(68.885,68.885,-49.325,-49.325) Cameron Lake ENVELOPE(76.358,76.358,-69.403,-69.403) Cameron, Lake ENVELOPE(76.358,76.358,-69.403,-69.403) Lake Hope ENVELOPE(-57.017,-57.017,-63.400,-63.400) Prairie River ENVELOPE(-111.635,-111.635,58.617,58.617) Lac Pauline ENVELOPE(-75.802,-75.802,60.448,60.448)
