This updated repository corrects a branch-length error I found after the paper had been rejected from PNAS. The raw branch lengths were previously not consistent, although were scaled within BayesTraits. This release scales all branch length so that 1unit = 100 years prior to being used in BayesTraits. This has some changes of the co-evolution test results: - AN: Crow & Matrilocal was 3.01 -> now 2.45 - AN: Eskimo & Neo-local residence was 1.51 -> now 7.9 - AN: Hawaiian & absence of preferred CM was 1.41 -> now 5.41 - AN: Hawaiian & bi-lineal descent was 1.74 -> now 10.7 - AN: Iroquois & Unilineal descent was 2.02 -> now 7.1 - BT: Iroquois & Permitted CM was 4.34 -> 0.13 - BT: Iroquois & Preferred CM was 2.84 -> 13.85 - UA: Iroquois & Unilineal descent was -0.43 -> now 9.7 - UA: Iroquois & Unilocal residence was 0.05 -> now 5.3 Also we loose any statistical confidence we had on the ancestral state of uto-aztecan. The MS has also been updated accordingly.
