Ecology: We collected this species from eutrophic reservoirs on June 29, 2015. This species was distributed in freshwater, found among Phormidium and Oscillatoria species, in tropical and subtropical wetland (Komárek and Anagnostidis, 2005). Distribution: Arctic: Svalbard (Spitsbergen) (Matula et al., 2007); Australia and New Zealand: New Zealand (Broady and Merican, 2012).
