Summary: | This data set contains simulated brightness temperatures in the microwave spectrum for a summer case and a winter case based on radiosoundings performed during the Multidisciplinary drifting Observatory for the Study of Arctic Climate (MOSAiC) expedition [1]. The simulations cover the frequencies 1-400 GHz and have been performed with the Passive and Active Microwave radiative TRAnsfer model (PAMTRA, [2]). Dimensions 'grid_x', 'grid_y', 'outlevel' can be truncated as they have the length 1. To get simulated brightness tempeartures (TBs) of a zenith-looking microwave radiometer, chose the last index of the dimension 'angles' (which is zenith angle 0°) and average over the 'passive_polarization' dimension. The data has been used to generate Fig. 1 of ([3] INSERT PUBLICATION WHEN READY). [1]: Maturilli, M., Holdridge, D.
