Summary: | This dataset contains raw thermal infrared (TIR) imagery of a drifting iceberg, and surrounding surface seawater, that was obtained in Dickson Fjord (NE Greenland) in August 2018. TIR images were acquired with a FLIR Vue Pro R 640 longwave thermal infrared camera with a 13 mm lens. The FLIR Vue Pro acquired images at 1 sec intervals. The FLIR camera was mounted to a DJI Phantom 3 drone. Iceberg thermal images were acquired as part of a scientific research cruise onboard the HDMS Lauge Koch. The cruise was supported by the Danish Centre for Marine Research and the Arctic Research Centre at Aarhus University in Denmark. Each .zip file contains .tiff images as produced by the camera and stored on the SD card. An example python script to convert the data to temperature and plot single images and create videos is provided. ... |
