Russia (S RFE: SW Sakhalin, S Kurils—Kunashir, S Khabarovskii Krai, S Amurskaya Oblast, Primorskii Krai), Japan (Hokkaido, Honshu, Shikoku, Kyushu, Tsushima, Okinawa), North Korea, South Korea, NE and SW China. Remarks. The finding of C. stipitaria in Sakhalin significantly expands its distribution range to the northeast. The larvae are polyphagous on deciduous trees.
