The rapidly evolving Arctic environment poses significant challenges for monitoring installations. It became obvious that the stationary system needed modification and adaptation to the new situation. The station has been affected by morphological changes of riverbank resulting from the dynamic Arctic conditions. Instead of driven piles holding the installation a sea expedition kayak has been repurposed as a mobile platform to house the logger, battery, and sensors of the monitoring station. This solution allows for flexibility and ensures continued data collection despite the changing river morphology. The modified setup enables the monitoring station to observe the river and effectively capture hydrological parameters in response to shifting river morphology. ...
