On September 3, 2010, the USGS's NACCH project conducted an oblique aerial photographic survey from Breton Island to the Chandeleur Islands, Louisiana, aboard a Cessna 210 aircraft at an altitude of 500 feet (152 meters) and approximately 1,200 feet (366 meters) offshore to collect baseline data.
