The final version of 15 km horizontal resolution data set which spans 2000-2016 is available on line through the NCAR's RDA. Similar to ASR version 1, ASR version 2 has 34 pressure levels (71 model levels), 31 surface (including 3 soil variables) and 11 upper air analysis variables, 71 surface (including 3 soil variables) and 17 upper air forecast variables. Both the u- and v- winds relative to grid and relative to earth are present in the final version. The wind speed is also added.ASR version 2 will be updated through 2019, then reran (2000-2019) using the most recent version of Polar WRF and WRFDA plus many other enhancements. This newer version, ASR version 2.5, should be available starting in mid-2020 and will be kept up-to-date through 2020 with a delay of about 3 months.
