Otuk Creek Discharge Data (Excel). Version 1.0

This dataset contains snowmelt data from Otuk Creek. Flow was measured from a bridge over the creek in the following manner: A weight was suspended from a graduated line. This was dropped into the creek from the bridge at 1-m intervals. An observer positioned on the side of the creek read the depth....

Flow was measured from a bridge over the creek in the following manner: A weight was suspended from a graduated line. This was dropped into the creek from the bridge at 1-m intervals. An observer positioned on the side of the creek read the depth. Chips were dropped into the creek and their transit time recorded over a 25-m course; from this the surface velocity was computed. Combining depth and velocity, the discharge was calculated and used to calibrate a continuous stage height record for discharge. NOTE: This dataset contains the data in Excel format.
