Summary:The TRIAXYS Wave Buoy TAS04491 was deployed on 2016-11-19 at Placentia Bay. Placentia Bay is a large, deep bay on the southeast coast of Newfoundland. To the west is the Burin Peninsula while the eastern shore is formed by the Avalon Peninsula. This device is a Wave Buoy. Wave buoys provide measurements of wave conditions. Measurements include wave height, period, direction, and spread. It was deployed on a fixed platform. Data from this deployment were archived and made available through Ocean Networks Canada's Oceans 2.0 digital infrastructure, with quality assurance and derived data products following established practices.
