The activation and growth of interests in the development of the northern territories formed the problem of choosing the most reasonable, balanced scenario for their development. The purpose of this study is to analyze the environmental and economic situation in these territories and identify possible changes in naturalindustrial relations. Using the method of statistical analysis, graphic and cartographic methods, the results were obtained: the causes of environmental problems were determined, the characteristic of the ecological state and economic support of environmental protection, the possible environmental consequences are given. The presented study was performed for the first time for the territories under consideration.
