ABoVE: Gridded LVIS Vegetation Structure across Alaska and Canada, 2017 and 2019 : Arctic-Boreal Vulnerability Experiment (ABoVE)

This dataset consists of analysis-ready (geotif, projected, 30m) grids of canopy relative height (RH), complexity, cover, and ground elevation collected from NASA's Land, Vegetation, and Ice Sensor (LVIS) and provide a useful representation of the footprint-level waveform estimates of the verti...

These data were gridded by applying function in the R 'raster' package to LVIS L2 ASCI text files that are openly available from earthdata.nasa.gov. The data are organized by LVIS flightline name. There are 1051 flight lines for the 2017 data, and 2527 for the 2019 data. Each flight line has 46 individual geotifs, for a total of 164,588 files.
