: The film shows how salmons are caught by the brown bear (Ursus arctos). The salmons swimming up-stream to their spawn grounds are caught in the shallow water by muzzle and fore paws of the bears which carry them to the bank and eat them. When the animals are eating one paw is put on the fish and keeps it on the ground. Often the bears eat the fish only partially and leave the rest behind for the sea-gulls. |
