Gnathiidae sind im Jugendstadium (Manca) ebenfalls Blutsauger. Als erwachsene Tiere leben sie in Schwämmen und nehmen keine Nahrung mehr auf. Chaetiliidae (Glyptonotus antarcticus) leben räuberisch, z. B. von Polychaeten. : The benthic isopods presented feed on other animals.
