Description
Summary:This sub-bottom data set was collected with an ODEC Bathy2000 hull-mounted sub-bottom CHIRP system in 2001 during Palmer cruise NBP0101 (chief scientist Amy Leventer). The files are in SEG-Y format and are lightly processed. The files are the hourly SEG-Y files. See the accompanying sub-bottom data processing report for details. The primary purpose of the cruise was to investigate the relatively unexplored East Antarctic continental margin, from the Wilkes Land region to the Mac.Robertson shelf, searching for, and sampling, high resolution sedimentary records. The data set was created as part of the project called Quaternary Glacial History and Paleoenvironments of the East Antarctic Margin. Funding was provided through NSF awards OPP01-96389, OPP99-09367, OPP99-09793, OPP99-09837.
