The project was funded by the Cumulative Impacts Monitoring Program and ran from 2017-2020. : Temperature, pH, specific conductance, dissolved oxygen, turbidity, and chlorophyll a were measured using a Eureka Manta + probe (Eureka Water Probes). Probe measurements were taken at the deepest point of each lake at 1 m depth. Water samples were also collected at the deepest point using a 3 m vinyl tube (integrated sampler). Water samples were processed at the Center for Cold Regions and Water Science at Wilfrid Laurier University. We used a Perkin Elmer Optima 8000 Inductively Coupled Plasma Optical Emission Spectroscopy (ICP-OES) instrument to measure calcium, sodium, and magnesium concentrations, and a Shimadzu TOC-LCPH Carbon and Nitrogen analyzer (Shimadzu Corp.) to measure TN and TOC. To measure TP, we digested samples in an autoclave with ammonium persulfate and sulfuric acid following EPA method 365.1. We then used SEAL method G-103-93 to measure TP colorimetrically using the SEAL Continuous Segmented Flow Analyzer (SEAL Analytical, Inc.). To obtain water clarity measurements, we lowered a Secchi disk over the shady side of the boat at the deepest point on the lake. : Dataset Fort McPherson Inuvik DataCite Metadata Store (German National Library of Science and Technology) Eureka ENVELOPE(-85.940,-85.940,79.990,79.990) Tuktoyaktuk ENVELOPE(-133.006,-133.006,69.425,69.425) Inuvik ENVELOPE(-133.610,-133.610,68.341,68.341) Fort McPherson ENVELOPE(-134.826,-134.826,67.433,67.433) Corridor The ENVELOPE(78.139,78.139,-68.582,-68.582) Corridor, The ENVELOPE(78.139,78.139,-68.582,-68.582)
