Summary: | This dataset collection comprises the ACCESS-ESM1-5 contribution to the Southern Ocean surface freshening intercomparison project, running simulations with a consistent experimental design to allow quantification of the impact of missing Antarctic ice sheet/shelf meltwater on climate simulations across multiple models. Runs will typically be undertaken for 100 years, in three-member ensembles. The ACCESS-ESM1-5 simulations will contribute to three objectives of the intercomparison: Applying a constant freshwater flux under piControl conditions. Applying an increasing freshwater flux under increasing greenhouse gas conditions. Exploring different freshwater flux distributions. |
