: The ornamentation of Yakut jewelry has numerous variations that appeared directly inside the Yakut culture and borrowed motifs that received local names and a new interpretation. Some of the symbolic signs have a universal character and are known over a wide - 177 - area from ancient times. However, all of them, bizarrely mixed, harmoniously and naturally fit into the traditional system of ornaments. One of the surviving ornaments is a floral, which in turn is associated with the idea of fertility and prosperity. This ornament is mainly used on women's jewelry, symbolizing the birth of life and the continuation of the family. A number of scientists applied to the study of floral ornament: M.N. Nosov, U. Johansen, A.I. Gogolev, A.N. Savvinova, T.P. Tishina. Unsolved in the scientific literature is the question of the origin of floral ornament, why it appears in Yakut jewelry only in the XIX century, although it has ancient roots. The question is also interesting: do the stems, leaves, and flowers have prototypes in the nature of the harsh Yakut land. Which is very possible, since plants for the Yakuts had not only a sacred meaning, but were also a means of treatment and food. Probably, the masters used the prototype of plant ornaments, in particular flowers, the most vivid and significant flowers in the Yakut culture – Sardaana (Lílium pensylvánicum) and Nyurguhun (Galanthus), which are symbols of femininity, beauty, grace, awakening and flowering of nature. The work was carried out within the framework of the RFBR Grant 19-09-00361 "Plants in traditional medicine and in the nutrition system of the indigenous peoples of Yakutia, prospects for their use at the present time: Ethnography, ethnolinguistics and ethnopharmacology". In the course of the study, jewelry from the collections of museums of village Tur, Krasnoyarsk region, MAE (Kunstkamera) of St. Peterburg, YaSUMHCoNP named after Em. Yaroslavsky, MAE NEFU named after M. K. Ammosov, and also used the author's field materials collected on the territory of Ust-Aldan district of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) in 2015-2016. |
