AMAP, established in 1991 under the eightcountry Arctic Environmental Protection Strategy, monitors and assesses the status of the Arctic region with respect to pollution and climate change. AMAP produces science-based policy-relevant assessments and public outreach products to inform policy and decision-making processes.
