At the center is a photograph of Elizabeth Warner, a female pilot sitting on the outside of the cockpit of her plane. At the bottom are the copy price and a list of a couple of features from the issue in a white rectangular field. Articles include topics such as aviation shows; records expected to be broken during the year; the 1928 National Air Tour; an engine to be used by Arctic explorer Richard E. Byrd; the use of airplanes by journalists; pieces on specific flights, including one by another Arctic explorer; the promotion of aviation in America; the use of aviation by business; and flying clubs. There are many advertisements related to aviation and a number offering books and other publications by the publisher of Air Travel News.
