Stan Vincett, a photographer of 3313 Temple street, who took the picture, looked at his developed film, blinked, looked at it again and said: "Well, I guess you could make it snow in Hades if you looked through an infra-red filter." So, it was only a photographic trick after all. There really was no snow on the old courthouse lawn. But on a blistering hot day, when every thought turns to the Arctic zone for relief, remember that the best way to look at the world through rose-colored glasses is to take pictures through infra-red filter. "It turns everything green to white," explained Mr. Vincett" -- typed note attached to verso. Verso dated, "7/22/34".; Streetscape. Horizontal photography.
