| Summary: | This work deals with two major topics that are interwoven. On the one hand the history of Greenland, its four Inuit peoples, its relations with Denmark, the quarrels between Denmark, Norway and the Netherlands, as well as interventions by the US until the Inuit´s independence process from 1721 – the arrival of the missionary Hans Egedes – until today. On the other hand, it is about the various names and attributions that the Inuit received from the immigrants and colonists, missionaries and occupants, as well as researchers, and in which phases those have expired. : Diese Arbeit befasst sich mit zwei großen Themen, die miteinander verwoben sind. Zum ei-nen mit der Geschichte Grönlands, seiner vier Inuit-Völker, der Beziehungen zu Dänemark, der Streitigkeiten zwischen Dänemark, Norwegen und den Niederlanden sowie Interventionen der USA bis zum heutigen Unabhängigkeitsprozess der Inuit ab dem Jahre 1721 – der Ankunft des Missionars Hans Egedes – bis heute. Zum anderen geht es um die verschiedenen Bezeichnungen und Zuschreibungen, die die Inuit von den Einwanderer/innen und Kolonist/innen, Missionaren und Besetzer/innen sowie Forschern und Forscherinnen erhalten haben und in welchen Phasen diese abgelaufen sind. |
