This dataset is part of the 2018 Belgian submission for the Marine Strategy Framework Directive (MSFD) linked to descriptor 8, criterion 1. This dataset describes the contaminant concentrations in biota. The priority substances mercury, hexachlorobutadiene and hexachlorobenzene are measured in mussels and flounder in the Belgian Part of the North Sea (BPNS). Results for other parameters that are part of the OSPAR (Convention for the Protection of the Marine Environment of the North-East Atlantic) Coordinated Environmental Monitoring Program are also included: polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs), polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs), heavy metals, organotin compounds and polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDEs) for the period 2011-2016. The analyses are performed by Instituut voor Landbouw-, Visserij- en Voedingsonderzoek (ILVO) and RBINS-OD Nature that both participate in the Quasimeme ring tests for additional quality control. Bird eggs of 2008, 2010 and 2015 are measured for mercury (Hg), dichlorodiphenyltrichloroethane (DDT), hexachlorobenzene (HCB) and hexachlorocyclohexane (HCH). Eggs from the are measured and compared with OSPAR norms Common Tern (Sterna hirundo) are gathered in Zeebrugge and are analyzed by the Insitut für vogelforschung in Wilhelmshaven according to a standard protocol. : Deze dataset maakt deel uit van de Belgische inzending voor de Kaderrichtlijn Mariene Strategie (KRMS) 2018, gekoppeld aan descriptor 8, criterium 1. Deze dataset beschrijft de contaminantconcentraties in biota. De prioritaire stoffen kwik, hexachloorbutadieen en hexachloorbenzeen worden gemeten in mosselen en bot in het Belgisch deel van de Noordzee (BDNS). Resultaten voor andere parameters die deel uitmaken van het OSPAR (Verdrag voor de Bescherming van het Mariene Milieu van het Noordoost-Atlantische Oceaan) Gecoördineerd Milieuprogramma zijn ook inbegrepen: polychloorbifenylen (PCB's), polycyclische aromatische koolwaterstoffen (PAK's), zware metalen, organotinverbindingen en polygebromeerde difenylethers (PBDE's) voor de periode 2011-2016. De analyses worden uitgevoerd door Instituut voor Landbouw-, Visserij- en Voedingsonderzoek (ILVO) en KBIN-OD Nature die beide deelnemen aan de Quasimeme ringtesten voor extra kwaliteitscontrole. Vogeleieren van 2008, 2010 en 2015 worden gemeten voor kwik (Hg), dichloordifenyltrichloorethaan (DDT), hexachloorbenzeen (HCB) en hexachloorcyclohexaan (HCH). Eieren van de dieren worden gemeten en vergeleken met OSPAR-normen. Gemeenschappelijke Stern (Sterna hirundo) wordt verzameld in Zeebrugge en wordt geanalyseerd door de Insitut für vogelforschung in Wilhelmshaven volgens een standaardprotocol. : Cet ensemble de données fait partie de la soumission belge de 2018 relative à la directive-cadre «stratégie pour le milieu marin» (DCSMM) associée au descripteur 8, critère 1. Dieser Datensatz beschreibt die Schadstoffkonzentrationen in Biota. Die prioritären Substanzen Quecksilber, Hexachlorbutadien und Hexachlorbenzol werden in Muscheln und Flunder im belgischen Teil der Nordsee (BPNS) gemessen. Die Analysen werden von Instituut voor Landbouw-, Visserij- und Voedingsonderzoek (ILVO) und RBINS-OD Nature durchgeführt, die beide an den Quasimem-Ringtests zur zusätzlichen Qualitätskontrolle teilnehmen. Vogeleier von 2008, 2010 und 2015 werden auf Quecksilber (Hg), Dichlordiphenyltrichlorethan (DDT), Hexachlorbenzol (HCB) und Hexachlorcyclohexan (HCH) gemessen. Eier aus dem ESS werden gemessen und mit den OSPAR-Normen Gewöhnliche Seeschwalbe (Sterna hirundo) verglichen, die in Zeebrugge gesammelt und vom Insitut für Vogelforschung in Wilhelmshaven nach einem Standardprotokoll analysiert werden.
