: In the early 1920s, to quickly and simultaneously alert the country about the most important events of the day, to ensure constant and reliable radio communications, the People''s Commissariat of Posts and Telegraphs of the country outlined a plan for the rehabilitation of stations and construction of new ones in the major cities. The plan of radio communications was considered a matter of priority for the recovery of the economy. This is the reason why workers employed by radio stations were considered mobilized on the ground and not subject to draft, regardless of their age, for as long as they were building a station. The People''s Commissariat of Posts and Telegraphs instructed districts, including the East Siberian district, to immediately begin installation of radio for people. At that time, at the request of the country''s People''s Commissariat of Posts and Telegraphs, a construction of an intermediate station on the territory of Yakutia was required for long-distance communication with the main administrative center of Siberia Novonikola-yevsk with Petropavlovsk on the Kamchatka Peninsula. In the mid-1920s gold was mined in Yakutia; its reserves, due to their natural and economic conditions, dominated the rest of the industry and raw materials regions in the country. Industrial development of Yakutia attracted the attention of the country''s leaders. The Commission of the Supreme Council of National Economy of the USSR, on the basis of a survey of the Aldan gold-mining district, decided to establish an industrial trust of national importance and to begin work on the installation of radio communications. Despite the difficult economic situation in the country, the USSR Council of the People''s Commissariat of Posts and Telegraphs supported the project of radio station construction in the republic. A preliminary agreement was signed between the People''s Commissariat of Posts and Telegraphs of the USSR and the delegation of the Yakut Government. In 1925, at its own initiative, the People''s Commissar of Posts and Telegraphs of the country organized a scientific technical expedition to design and construct the station, in close collaboration with scientists engineers of the Nizhny Novgorod Radio Laboratory which produced the latest system of domestic apparatuses. In 1925, radio pioneer, explorer of the Nizhny Novgorod Radio Laboratory of the People''s Commissariat of Posts and Telegraphs M.A. Bonch-Bruevich started experiments on shortwave communication and wanted to introduce his new technical developments in the main radio communication lines. On his behalf, radio engineer P.A. Ostryakov agreed to install communication on the line between the Tommot (Aldan) mine and Irkutsk to organize regular radio communication between Irkutsk and Moscow, with an emergency exit to Chita and Khabarovsk. The head of the expedition was engineer P. Ostryakov, his deputy was active organizer I.D. Papanin. In a short time, a radio station was constructed for the early realization of the scientific and technical specifications to ensure reliable radio communication in the industrial trust of national importance. Only brand new domestic radiotechnics was used for the installation and equipping of receiving facilities. The experiments continued in 1925-1926 and identified a number of important advantages of shortwave stations. The first stage of the scientific technical expedition of the People''s Commissariat of Posts and Telegraphs in Yakutia, organized according to the plan to install radio in district centers of important economic and cultural role in the life of the republic and the country, was completed.
