В статье рассматривается вопрос пространственной организации северных и арктических городов, поселений и населенных пунктов. Изучается российский и зарубежный циркумполярный опыт формирования градостроительных систем, описываются основные принципы и приемы организации городской среды. Материалы статьи содержат наглядные характерные примеры, иллюстрирующие основные направления развития и принципы градостроительного формирования. Приводится предложения по принципиальной типизации городов и населенных пунктов по ряду признаков, на основании которых выделяются четыре группы городов. Типизация в данном случае рассматривается как способ накопления отечественного и международного опыта формирования городской среды в высоких широтах и как основа перспективного подхода к развитию населённых пунктов региона. ... : The article deals with the issue of spatial organization of northern and Arctic cities, settlements and settlements. There are proposals for the fundamental typification of cities and settlements according to a number of features, on the basis of which four groups of cities are distinguished.
